About Saint Macrina Academy
We look a little different.
Our classrooms are set up in a way to easily accommodate a wide range of abilities and ages. Thanks to our amazing student to teacher ratio, and efforts to focus on a child’s ability, rather than strictly their grade level, we are able to continually challenge students. Whether it’s excelling past their grade level in one subject, while staying with their peers for the rest of the day, or needing some extra time and support with a challenging subject, our school is set-up to meet these needs. St. Macrina’s teachers and staff are here to help students achieve mastery in all areas of their learning journey.
We have multi-grade classrooms that allow mentoring and foster exploration into a wide variety of subjects. Just like in a family, what one person is learning or creating is shared with everyone and we constantly learn from each other. It is not uncommon to see older students helping their younger classmates, both in the classroom and at recess. Watching and nurturing these lasting relationships matters to us and is furthered by our small class sizes and ability to move students during the day to where they are best served.
We hope we’ve sparked some interest in what we’re all about and that you’ll contact us to learn more or get involved. We welcome visitors and potential families to come pray and play with us! We’re happy to answer all your questions via email or in person.
Our Dedicated Faculty
Our teachers are committed to nurturing both the hearts and minds of our students, guiding them in their Orthodox faith and academic growth.

Venerable Macrina, sister of Saint Basil the Great – Troparion & Kontakion
Troparion — Tone 8
The image of God was truly preserved in you, O Mother, / for you took up the Cross and followed Christ. / By so doing, you taught us to disregard the flesh, for it passes away, / but to care instead for the soul, since it is immortal. / Therefore your spirit, O Holy Mother Macrina, rejoices with the Angels!
